The food, on the other hand, was expensive and desperately poor, especially the nachos, which included big chunks of tomato, a few. I enjoyed the German IPA which was reasonably priced.

I hope they will go back to more variety next time they update the menu. And their food menus change regularly - as one can expect from a gastropub - but over time, more and more of the healthier dishes have been replaced with deep-fried stuff, and recently, everything they serve late night is meat-based (they used to have a great veggie burger, nachos without meat and also some seafood dishes that are now gone). They tend to a «happy crowd», and some evenings the toilets have looked a bit like a war-zone. The location is also perfect - in the middle of Guomao (CBD). of this, they have an absolutely great live-band most days of the week (look up Soul Shake online) - a band that has an incredible variety of songs and even whole shows, and an awesome lead singer. Great selection of wine, beer and cocktails, very skilled and service-minded bartenders, surprisingly good food for a bar, also late at night (they market themselves as a «gastropub», and they mostly live up to it).
